In 2019 The United Architects of the Philippines - Tandang Sora Chapter in partnership with the local government of Caloocan City held a competition composed of architectural students, graduates, and licensed professionals to create a Proposed Civic Center.

The proposed complex, which will be located on Barangay Malaria, Caloocan, is envisioned as a landmark facility that ensures the efficient delivery of services related to health, education, governance, and infrastructure.

This is in line with the Caloocan City Comprehensive Development Plan's aim to cultivate safe, secure, and investment-friendly communities.
